Music Ministry – God has blessed Neighborhood to have a dedicated, committed and anointed Minister of Music to help usher in the Holy Spirit in the Worship Service.

Along with several members of the Choir, Neighborhoods music is top notch.  The Choir sings all types of Gospel arrangements from Anthems to Spirituals and from Accapella to Modern Gospel.

The Voices of Praise Mass Choir consists of Youth and Adults who have a passion for singing.  3 and 4 part harmony songs are taught weekly in preparation for Sunday Services and Special Concerts.

The Youth Choir consists of our Youth who are in High School.  As the adult choir, they are able to sing different styles of gospel music.  The Children’s Choir is for our little ones who have that innocence about them.  They love to sing.

Adult Ministry

Adult Ministries is a ministry designed to help older adults increase their  faith and knowledge.  The committee provides ideas and if they are approved and within the budget, the activities are planned.  We plan various activities throughout the year that include fellowship, fun trips and a Christmas Party.  This is a very detailed and time-consuming ministry.  Planning an effective as well as informative event within the calendar of the church is worth the efforts of the committee members.

Youth/Children Ministry

The Youth/Children Ministry serves to educate and nurture our children to practice spiritual habits such as:  prayer, active worship attendance, and service to others.

We are actively involved in Missions and Stewardship through:

· Taking part in Sunday morning worship services.
· Assisting our Senior Citizens in outside yard work
· Christmas Caroling
· Preparing/delivering Thanksgiving baskets to the needy
· And many more activities

Our church believes that every child should have the opportunity to grow spiritually through the teaching of God's Love.

Christian Education

It is the responsibility of the Christian Education Department to develop and promote Christian Education that gives children, youth, young adults, and adults knowledge and experiences in the Christian Faith.  Here at Neighborhood, this is done through several areas:  Sunday School (ages pre-school to adult); Vacation Bible School (held each summer for a week); Weekly Bible Study (Wednesday morning and evening); Young Adult Study Group (Brothers and Sisters); Children’s Ministry (various programs during the year for children); Youth (full program of active service, weekend trips as well as full week experiences).  In addition, we have a Tutorial Program serving students from a nearby public school.In carrying out these responsibilities there are chairpersons and committees for each group.  Volunteers and new workers are always welcomed.
